I’m Suraj Kumar, Founder and CEO of SurajKy. I bring seven years of industry experience, shaped by roles at companies including Adobe, where I worked for two years, and Etsy, where I spent two years and five months.
From technology to business growth
My early experience helped me build an understanding of technology and the people who use it. I later moved into business development, where I learned to understand clients, translate their goals into business requirements, manage relationships and coordinate work around their needs.
That journey taught me to look beyond an individual task and understand the bigger picture: what a business is trying to achieve, what its customers need and how the right technology and communication can bring the two together.
How SurajKy began
My interest in building something of my own began with mushroom farming. Starting and growing a successful business gave me practical experience in entrepreneurship and encouraged me to keep learning and exploring new opportunities.
After gaining experience across technology, client relationships and business development, I founded SurajKy on 14 June 2026. The company brings those lessons together through technology and growth services, with a focus on understanding each client’s requirements and turning them into practical solutions.
Education
I studied for my master’s in Computer Science at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. My academic background and professional experience continue to shape the way I approach technology and business challenges.
Beyond work
Travel and adventure are a big part of who I am. I’ve explored much of India and ridden my bike more than 15,000 kilometres across the country, discovering new places and perspectives along the way.
I also enjoy playing basketball and football, and I love swimming. When I’m at home, you’ll often find me cooking—I’m a chef at heart—or looking after my small garden.
I’m always open to a new challenge and eager to learn new skills. That curiosity shapes both my life outside work and the way I approach building a business.
